STRESS RELIEF

I read an article that stated that 90% of doctor's visits are for stress related complaints. Just think about it; how many times has YOUR stress led to distress? Headaches, stomach aches, sleeping problems and high blood pressure. Constant challenges without any relief or relaxation between challenges usually takes it's toll on a body. From personal experience I can tell you that when a doctor told me "you never know who mother nature will choose to give high blood pressure to" is not something that you'd ever think that you would hear when you are in your 30's. After all, i eat pretty healthy, no pork or pork by products, didn't have a large salt intake, not overweight either. Could stress be the culprit? An emphatic YES was the answer. Well, i tried the medication that was prescribed but when I became temporary blind, it felt like an eternity. The side effects wasn't something that I wanted to inherit. That very day I decided to find new ways to decrease stress. It's been my mission ever since.

I've always enjoyed soaking in a hot tub, which incidentally, decreases my stress levels immensly. Baths always seemed to improve my circulation, relieves muscle tension and help me get a good night's sleep. I love burning candles too, so I began burning candles in the bathroom, listening to soft music and I would always feel relaxed and calm every time without fail. I then started checking my blood pressure and was pleased to know that my BP would decrease. I knew that I was onto something so I began researching new ways to relieve stress, that's when I discovered a Japanese technique called reiki(pronounced ray-key) to unblock negative energy and restore balance within the body.
Reiki translates to universal life force energy. It's hands on energy healing used to unblock negative energy which in turns decrease stress levels because you're in a relaxed state. As we all know emotions can have a profound effect on the body. Let's take love for example, when your heart is happy you smile more, extroverted, friendly and generally more positive. When your heart is boken you feel depressed, low self esteem, withdrawn emotionally. You may even stop eating, then you'll get a headache, etc. Same thing when you're nervous you begin to sweat, stomache ache(butterflies) can't communicate effectively. Well, you get my meaning you must allow yourself time to rejuvenate from all of that stress.
